DAS SPEISEZIMMER – Sarah Wiener’s original eatery – was not only converted in autumn 2010 but also extended by DIE KÜCHE. This is a place where one can learn how to cook à la Sarah Wiener – from making pasta dough to preparation of game or poultry. Just sneak a peek into the pots of our cooks to see that we ‘use water for cooking like everybody else’. Regional dishes and seasonal ingredients are at the focus of our cooking courses.
Why don’t you just enrol in a course if you want to discover your inclination for cooking and learn something from our kitchen professionals. Cooking lessons are being held in the KÜCHE in our SPEISEZIMMER and take about five hours each. Participation is limited to max. 15 people.
First, there is a brief mix and meet to get to know each other over a glass of aperitif – and then we start. The underlying motto is again: No sweet without sweat. You will have to hack like a maid, prepare meat or draw pasta dough like a cook. Then you are allowed to taste like the chef herself and when the meal is ready everybody will eat together at a long table. You will not have to die of thirst, may try out whether the selected wines are suitable for the cooked dishes and when, at the end, you still have some room for a dessert and a nice present than we, and we trust you too, will be happy.
